People are going missing in Los Angeles. But there are no news stories about it. The authorities aren’t looking into the cases. These people aren’t the type to command headlines. They’ve fallen through the cracks, making them easy prey for the predators prowling the streets of LA.

So when a drifter named Trouble gets involved, things spiral out of control. When he witnesses a vicious act of violence, Trouble doesn’t hesitate to intervene, stopping a murder in progress. He fends off the masked attackers, but not before they promise to make him pay with his life.

The victim, a young woman, manages to whisper a single word into his ear. And with that word, Trouble finds himself in the middle of a struggle that’s been going on in Los Angeles for decades.

Enlisting the help of a journalist, Trouble digs into the dark underbelly of the City of Angels to uncover the truth — and to bring justice to those who’ve managed to evade it for so long.
